Is it libel for journalists to call someone gay? A clip from the Pro-Media sponsored "Stonewall" panel.
This was probably one of my favorite (and borderline uncomfortable) moments at the event Pro-Media sponsored along with The New School and the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association. I am inclined to agree with Kai. I do believe announcing one's sexual orientation is a preference that should be done on a person's own terms (although I also understand where Andy is coming from).
Anyway, I suggest you check out the full program. I know I am biased, but it really was the most lively and enjoyable panels I have attended.
